The Argentine national team will face its Brazilian counterpart tomorrow in the final match of the tenth edition of the Futsal World Cup, currently being held in Uzbekistan.
The Argentine team succeeded in reaching the final of the tournament after defeating the French team with a score of (3-2).
The Argentine national team did not suffer any losses in the tournament, as it defeated Ukraine, Afghanistan and Angola during the group stage, and the team’s attack scored 18 goals.
On the other hand, the Brazilian team was able to advance to the final of the tournament after defeating its Ukrainian counterpart with a score of (3-2).
Brazil also achieved full marks in the group stage by defeating Cuba, Croatia and Thailand, and the team’s attack scored 27 goals.
The Brazilian national team occupies first place in the FIFA world rankings for men’s futsal teams, while the Argentine national team comes in fifth place.
Historically, the two teams have met in 83 matches in futsal tournaments, with Brazil prevailing with 66 victories, compared to 9 draws, and 8 victories for Argentina.
The Brazilian team is looking forward to winning its sixth World Cup title after the years 1989, 1992, 1996, 2008 and 2012, while the Argentine team is looking to win its second title after the 2016 title after defeating its Russian counterpart with a score of (5-4) in the final match at that time.
The third-place match between France and Ukraine will also be held tomorrow in Tashkent.
