Distinguished starvation, lack of treatment and medical supplies still kill the children of the Gaza Strip, which is subjected to a massacre and genocide committed by Israel for nearly two years, which turned the lives of the Palestinians into a conflict with hunger, disease and the lack of elements of survival.

With this dark reality, international relief organizations warn that the exacerbation of the crisis puts hundreds of thousands of civilians – especially children, patients and the elderly – in front of the dangers of death and patients, while hospitals are unable to provide the simplest forms of health care due to the depletion of medicines and medical supplies as a result of the siege.

For nearly two years, more than two million Palestinians have lived in Gaza under a suffocating siege and a systematic genocide during which Israel has turned food and medicine into a weapon for slow killing.

With restrictions tightening the entry of infant formula, medicines and medical supplies, starvation has become a daily reality that kills the people and turns hospitals into death stations.

On August 22, 2025, the Global Integrated Classification Integrated Classification of Food Security announced a state of starvation in Gaza City (north), and expected it to extend to the provinces of Deir Al -Balah (central) and Khan Yunis (south) by the end of September.

Israel rushed to attack the report, despite its dependence on data and facts, claiming that it was based on phone certificates.

The interim classification

The Integrated Food Security Classification “IBC” is an international initiative to analyze the conditions of food security and nutrition, which includes 21 prominent organizations, including FAO FAO, the World Food Program, United Nations Children’s Organizations, UNICEF, Global Health, Oxfam, and saved children.

The health sector in Gaza is suffering almost complete collapse in diagnosis and treatment. Since the start of the extermination on October 7, 2023, the Israeli army bombed, destroyed or removed from service, a total of 38 hospitals, which led to almost complete paralysis in the health system.

Inside Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, the Palestinian, Doaa Abu Mustafa, sat next to her daughter Maryam, clinging to a little hope that she can leave the sector for treatment.

The girl suffers from malnutrition and multiple health problems that have no treatment inside Gaza due to the Israeli siege.

Doaa says that Maryam was born during the war, and has since suffering from malnutrition and other nervous and health problems, and she needs analgesics and basic treatments that are not available in Israeli hospitals and the siege that doubled this.

She adds that her child is in urgent need of treatment outside the sector, but the siege prevents her travel.

Harsh living conditions

The mother asserts that the war strongly affected mothers and children, as they lack the simplest basics of food and treatment.

“Every day I die with her, I am the only breadwinner for her, and I hope to see her playing like the rest of the children.”

The state of Masouda Wahba is not different, the mother of the child Ubaidah, who suffers from malnutrition and a hole in the heart in addition to a physical disability.

The mother, who lost one of her sons, tells of an Israeli bombing, that she is living in harsh living conditions, asking international institutions to look at the condition of her child with mercy and providing him with treatment outside the Strip.

In the next room, the girl Samar Al -Bashiti lying on the hospital bed without mobility, after she was severely injured in her head that led to quadruple paralysis, and exacerbated the malnutrition of her condition.

Her mother, Jihan, holds her phone to showcase old photos of Samar, playing and laughing, before the Israeli war turned her into a weak child, unable to move.

She explains that her daughter was playing and moving, but today as a result of the war she has become bed.

According to the government media office, more than 5,200 children need an urgent medical evacuation to save their lives.

Since last March 2, Israel has closed all the crossings leading to Gaza, preventing any food, treatments, or humanitarian aid, which has entered the sector into a famine despite the accumulation of relief trucks on its borders.
