Today, Monday, the health unions in the Gaza Strip called on the international community and medical and human rights organizations to secure the arrival of the global resilience fleet of the sector without obstacles.

Syndicate spokesman, doctor Khalil Al -Dakran, told a press conference at Al -Aqsa Martyrs Hospital (center): We are greeting a revelation for the resilience fleet.

He praised the 70 -vessels of 70 ships, which are loaded with medicines, supplies, and the necessary medical and therapeutic devices that make the seas to challenge the unjust siege on Gaza.

For 18 years, Israel has besieged Gaza, and about 1.5 million Palestinians out of about 2.4 million in the Strip, are homeless after the extermination war destroyed their homes.

Israel has closed since last March, all the crossings leading to Gaza, preventing any humanitarian aid, including medicines and medical supplies, which entered the sector into famine despite the accumulation of relief trucks on its borders.

Sometimes Israel allows very limited quantities of aid that does not meet the minimum needs of the group and those deprived of medical care, but most trucks are subject to robbery from gangs that the Gaza government says that Israel protects it.

Al -Dukran stressed that the arrival of the convoy will reduce the medical catastrophe in the sector, and enables health crews to perform its humanitarian duty with higher efficiency despite the conditions of war and the siege.

He stressed that this initiative represents a victory for the global human conscience, and an explicit rejection of the Israeli occupation policies that deprive our people of their right to health and life.

Destruction of health infrastructure

It is also decisive support for health cadres with all their specialties that work without stopping amid a severe shortage of medical resources and equipment and under unprecedented pressure as a result of the destruction of health infrastructure, according to the spokesman.

Al -Dukran called on the international community and medical and human rights organizations to secure the arrival of the convoy immediately and without obstacles.

He also called for the expansion of urgent support for the health sector, which protects civilians from the ghost of the disease and slow death, and enhances the resilience of the health system.

On Sunday, about 20 ships coming from Spain began in the global resilience fleet by reaching the Tunisian coast, in preparation for heading towards the Gaza Strip to break the Israeli siege on it and open a humanitarian corridor to deliver aid.

And at the end of last August, about 20 ships were launched within the fleet from the Barcelona port, followed by another convoy on the first of September from the port of Genoa, northwest of Italy. These ships are expected to meet with a third convoy that will start from Tunisia on Wednesday.

The fleet consists of the Freedom Flotilla Federation, the Gaza Global Movement, the Al -Samoud Caravan, and the Malaysian Nusantara Samantara Organization, and includes hundreds of activists from more than 40 countries.

Israel had previously practiced piracy against previous ships that sailed individually towards Gaza, as it seized it, and deported the activists who were on board.

This is the first time that this number of ships combined towards the Gaza Strip sail.

Since October 20, 2023, Israel has committed genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders for the International Court of Justice to stop it.

This extermination left 64,455 martyrs, 162 thousand and 776 wounded Palestinians, most of them children and women, more than 9 thousand missing, hundreds of thousands of displaced people, and the famine of the lives of 393 Palestinians, including 140 children.
