Yesterday’s competitions witnessed five attempts, with the participation of 23 players from Kuwait, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, including 16 players from the Qatari national team and a number of names who had previously participated in several previous editions of the tournament, such as: Saudi His Highness Prince Mohammed Al Saud, and Qataris Jassim Al-Muraikhi and Mansour Al-Hajri. Qatari Fahd Al-Emadi also came in first place in the second attempt with a total score of 694 points. Today, the championship competitions continue with 5 attempts as well, followed by 4 attempts over 3 days, which are December 6, 7 and 8.
Khalifa Al Kubaisi, Al Annabi’s coach, stressed that the His Highness the Emir’s Cup is one of the most important tournaments during which all players strive to achieve the best results, and therefore the competition is not easy at all, and for this reason intense focus is required in order to compete to achieve the best results.
He added, “The beginning is always an exploratory phase and tactical matters, and the competition intensifies after the qualifiers. Therefore, we expect performance to increase in the coming days.”
Regarding the participation of our national team, he said: “We participate with 12 youth players and 6 male players, and we always look forward to the best and achieving the best results.”
Abdullah Haroun, head of the tournament’s technical committee, said that the tournament is one of the largest tournaments in the region.
