Google announced that it has changed the name of its artificial intelligence-powered application for searching and taking notes, NotebookLM, to Gemini Notebook, with the addition of new features based on artificial intelligence, in a move aimed at strengthening the application’s connection to the Gemini system, while maintaining it as an independent application.

The company said that in the coming weeks, the application will have broader integration with its services, including making notebooks available within the “Artificial Intelligence Mode” in the search engine, in addition to expanding the availability of Gemini 3.5 models and Antigravity technology to subscribers of the Google AI Pro service via the web.

She added that the update will give each notebook a secure cloud computer capable of writing and executing code, and performing advanced data analyzes based on the user’s sources, while providing new output formats and deeper analyses.

Google indicated that the application is currently used by more than 30 million users, in addition to more than 600,000 institutions in the fields of research, study, and work.

In a related context, the company revealed new updates to the Google Vids platform, which allow the creation of a digital avatar that simulates the user’s appearance and voice using a personal photo and audio recording, in addition to integrating the Gemini Omni model to create artificial intelligence video clips based on text commands and reference images, with support for modifying backgrounds, improving lighting, and making sequential adjustments to the video without the need to completely recreate the video.
