Hamad Airport receives the first Tajik Airlines flights

Hamad International Airport announced the arrival of the first flights of Tajik Airlines “Saman Air”, which connects the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, to Doha. This new air route reflects the growing demand for tourism and business travel from Central Asia – including Tajikistan to the State of Qatar.
Hamad International Airport welcomed the arrival of the first inaugural flight of “Saman Air” coming from Dushanbe to Doha, where the celebration was attended by a number of senior officials at Hamad International Airport, representatives of the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the State of Qatar, and “Saman Air”, in addition to officials. From the Embassy of Tajikistan in Qatar, through a welcoming ceremony.
The new route is operated by a 189-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft, ensuring a comfortable travel experience for passengers. Dushanbe represents a prominent addition to the Hamad International Airport network, as it is the eighth destination in Central Asia, both on scheduled and charter flights.
The flight from Dushanbe to Doha takes approximately 3 hours and 50 minutes. This new path reflects the strengthening of bilateral relations between Qatar and Tajikistan, and is expected to contribute to enhancing cooperation in the fields of culture, trade, tourism, and economy.
