Hamad International Airport expects to witness an increase in incoming passenger traffic during the period from January 2 to 5, 2025, so we would like to provide a set of important tips and guidelines for a smooth and comfortable travel experience. Easy steps to claim baggage
It is preferable to place fragile and breakable items in the middle of the hard luggage to avoid damage. To seamlessly navigate through the baggage claim area, QR codes are available to provide passengers with information on baggage belts along with flight information display panels. Please note that oversized checked baggage and other items such as wheelchairs and child seats will arrive separately in the A and B belts.
Passengers are advised to retain their baggage tags until leaving the baggage claim area and to check the tags before collecting them.
Important instructions for using parking lots when receiving passengers: The airport provides many options to facilitate passenger reception operations:
Special instructions for the side sidewalk area: Please do not leave vehicles unattended on the arrival hall sidewalk to avoid causing congestion, security violations, or vehicle towing. For longer passenger drop-off times, it is recommended to use short-term parking.
Special rates for long-term parking: The airport offers discounted rates for long-term parking in short-term parking, which is available by advance reservation only and can be accessed through the parking page on the website.
