Yesterday, the twelfth horse race of the current season was held on the Al-Oqda (grass) track for the Al-Kharayb Cup, with 8 races of various distances and categories of participating horses, and there was a great diversity among the winners of the first places in the race races.
Al Shahaniya horses imposed their control over the course of the eighth main round of the Al Kharayb Cup, by obtaining the first four places for the round, as the horse “Haman,” owned by Her Excellency Sheikha Iman bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, won the Al Kharayb Cup under the supervision of coach Rudy Nerbonne, who achieved a hat-trick of first four places.
The second place went to the horse Younis, owned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, the third place came to the horse Fayeq Al Shahaniya, owned by Her Excellency Sheikha Iman bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the fourth place was won by the horse Harib, owned by Her Excellency Sheikha Iman bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani. After the race, Abdullah Rashid Al-Kubaisi, Director of Racing Department at the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club, crowned the winners and handed over the Al-Kharib Cup. In the first half, the horse Hazza Al Shahaniya, king of Al Ghazali Stud, was able to win first place. Al-Khayal Faleh Bughnaim succeeded in achieving his second victory in a row by taking the top spot in the second half, driving the filly Rashida Malak Al Shaqab Racing to win first place.
