Hamad Medical Corporation’s Long-Term Care and Residential Services at Rumaila Hospital in Qatar have been re-accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) for the fourth time, following a detailed and comprehensive evaluation conducted in October 2025.
The re-accreditation includes the corporation’s long-term care facilities, including the Specialized Care and Support Center and Permanent Care Complex No. 1, which reflects Hamad Medical Corporation’s commitment to providing safe, high-quality care. This international accreditation constitutes confirmation of the advanced standards of quality and safety integrated into various aspects of service provision, and this is according to a statement issued by Hamad Medical Corporation today that reached Al Jazeera Seha.
These specialized centers provide round-the-clock care and rehabilitation services for long-stay patients suffering from chronic and complex medical conditions. These centers are the only centers of their kind in the State of Qatar, as they provide a multidisciplinary care model that focuses on supporting patients’ comfort and improving their functional abilities and quality of life.
The evaluation was conducted according to the Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation Version 2 standards, covering all aspects of care delivery, including clinical care, patient safety, policies, and management systems. Success in passing this evaluation confirms Hamad Medical Corporation’s full commitment to applying international best practices in the field of long-term care, and the continuity of its efforts to achieve continuous improvement.
