The General Assembly of the Qatar University Sports Federation re-elected His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi as President of the Federation for the new session 2024-2028, during the assembly’s meeting yesterday, Sunday, in the Qatar Olympic Committee building.
The meeting also witnessed the election of Mr. Rashid Saeed Odaiba, Secretary General of the Qatar University Sports Federation and the election of members of the Board of Directors for the new session 2024-2028 of the Qatar University Sports Federation.
The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, President of the Qatar University Sports Federation, in the presence of the Secretary General, members of the Federation’s Board of Directors, members of the General Assembly, a representative of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, representatives of the Qatar Olympic Committee, and representatives of higher education institutions in the country.
The members of the General Assembly approved the minutes of the previous meeting. The members of the Assembly also reviewed the administrative, technical and financial reports, the calendar of the 2024-2025 sports season, and future plans to advance university sports to new heights of excellence and success.
In his speech before the General Assembly, His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, President of the Federation, thanked the members of the General Assembly for their trust and support and for re-electing him for a new session 2024-2028. He also praised the collective efforts of all higher education institutions in the country, sports federations, partners, sponsors and employees of the Qatar University Sports Federation. Which yielded great results in the past sports seasons.
His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi stressed that Qatari university sports herald a bright future and are moving at a rapid pace towards embodying the slogan “Sports Inspires Education” into a tangible reality by attracting the largest number of male and female students annually to participate in the tournaments held under the umbrella of the Qatar University Sports Federation.
