Our youth team tied 0-0 against its Syrian counterpart in a friendly match between them at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium as part of its preparations for the finals of the AFC U-20 Football Championship hosted by China.
The match had a good technical level from both sides during the course of the first half, in which the Qatari team threatened the opponent’s goal on several occasions through the Spanish Calhora player Ibrahim Al-Hassan and his colleague Tahseen Mohammed, who is a professional in the Spanish Alcorcon Club, but the Syrian goalkeeper Maxime Sarraf saved his goal brilliantly.
Al-Adam will play another friendly match against its Uzbek counterpart next Wednesday at the Grand Hamad Stadium. Our team qualified for the finals, after earning the full score (9) points during the qualifiers across Group Ten, whose competitions were held in Doha last September, by winning its three matches against Singapore (3-0), Hong Kong (2-0), and Jordan (3-0). 3-2), respectively, while the Jordanian team ranked second with 6 points.
The draw for the continental finals, which took place last November, placed the Qatari team in the first group, along with the host teams of China, Australia and Kyrgyzstan.
