The stadium floor was paved using 500 used tires to produce “Green Rub” tiles, a durable and environmentally friendly material made from 100% recycled rubber, which reduced the carbon footprint that results from using new rubber. In addition to following safety standards that ensure a comfortable gaming experience for all ages.
It is worth noting that producing new rubber for an area of 175-200 square meters usually leads to the emission of about 800 kg of carbon dioxide, and by recycling rubber, emissions are reduced to an estimated 350-400 kg of carbon dioxide, representing More than 50% reduction in carbon emissions.
Such projects come within the framework of Al Fardan Group’s keenness to strengthen partnerships and community innovation, and contribute to advancing sustainable development in Qatar, as a member of the United Nations Global Compact since 2021.
