Today, Annabi Volleyball will meet its Chinese counterpart in the quarter-final match of the Asian Volleyball Challenge Cup, which is currently being held at the Issa Bin Rashid Hall in Bahrain, and will continue until the 10th of June.
Annabi Volleyball seeks to complete its career in the continental qualifying tournament for the Volleyball World Challenge Cup, in which our national team previously placed second last year when it was hosted by Doha.
In view of the match, we find that Al-Anabi has what qualifies it to win and overtake the Chinese team, as the two teams have met several times and our team achieved victory in most of them.
But today’s match may be difficult for both teams, but Al-Anabi is able to achieve victory and reach the semi-finals after giving a strong performance in the first round matches, despite losing to South Korea in the tie-break.
Today’s match is considered a big match for Al-Anabi, as it looks forward to achieving victory and continuing its journey in the tournament successfully.
The team’s delegation includes 14 players, namely: Youssef Ighlaf, Renan Ribeiro, Mubarak Dahi, Papi Majit, Ibrahim Saeed, Bobby, Ahmed Abdel Wahab, Bilal Nabil, Andrea Luiz, Mohamed Al-Waleed, Naji Mahmoud, Nicola, Ghanem Al-Rumaihi, Rahimi and Didi, led by Argentine coach Camilo Soto.
Al Annabi played in the third group alongside the teams of South Korea and Indonesia, while the first group included the teams of Thailand, Kazakhstan and Pakistan, the second group included the teams of Bahrain, the Philippines and China, while the fourth group included the teams of Vietnam, Australia, China and Taipei.
