The “Instagram” platform announced, through its account on “Threads”, the launch of the “First Draft” feature to facilitate the editing of “Reels” clips, by automatically trimming the selected clips, removing time intervals and moments of silence, and compiling the best moments in a ready-made initial version.
Instagram reported that the feature can produce the first draft in less than 10 seconds, which saves content creators a lot of time in editing, and allows them to start with a compiled draft automatically and make modifications to it later.
The First Draft feature is initially available to iPhone users, and can be accessed from the Instagram camera while recording, or from the Reels gallery after selecting several videos, reducing the need to use external editing applications.
The feature comes within a set of tools launched by Instagram for content creators, including the “Voice Replacement” tool and a new artificial intelligence assistant in the “Edits” application, in addition to testing the “Series” feature, which allows the grouping of related “Reels” clips and watching them in a specific order.
