Iranian Rostaei joins Al-Waab

Al-Waab team has signed Iranian striker Amir Rostaei from the Bahraini league as part of the team’s contracts for the new season 2024-2025 in preparation for the second division league scheduled to start on September 19. The Iranian player will return to Qatari football again after having a distinguished season with Al-Shahaniya team the year before last.
For his part, Ahmed Abdel Salam, the technical director of Al Waab team, praised the signing of player Amir Rostaei, indicating that he will be a great and strong addition to the team in the new season due to his wonderful capabilities capable of making a difference with the team.
“Amir Rostaei is a distinguished name and everyone witnessed his brilliance with Al Shahaniya the season before last, scoring many goals and achieving accomplishments including winning the Second Division Cup, in addition to his contribution to Al Shahaniya reaching the semi-finals of the Emir’s Cup. He is a distinguished player and will be a great addition to the attacking side of Al Waab team. Therefore, his knowledge of the Qatari football atmosphere is positive and will certainly be in our interest. We look forward to achieving positive results in the new season and continuing the work of last year,” he said. Al Waab team had a good season last season with the distinguished coach Ahmed Abdul Salam, who achieved good results, so the goal in the new season will be bigger, especially in light of the new contracts that will come in the coming period. He aspires to compete with the big teams and achieve an advanced position in the Second Division League.
The team’s duo, Guinean Naby Camara and Malian professional Daoud Souleymane, will also be present at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
