The Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture announced the approach of eliminating the country’s foot -of -country fever, noting that no new injuries were recorded between the livestock.
The Iraqi News Agency (conscious) quoted the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mahdi Sahar al -Jubouri as saying that “the Ministry of Agriculture, through the veterinary department, dispensaries and veterinary hospitals deployed in all governorates of Iraq, has detected and investigated injuries and taking precautionary measures to prevent the transmission of foot -and -mouth fever to other non -infested areas, as well as cordoning and identifying the foci in which the infection appeared.”
He pointed out that “the Prime Minister Muhammad Shi’a Al -Sudani formed a committee to follow up the cases of foot -and -mouth in general in all governorates of Iraq, and a crisis cell was formed to follow up the issue by the Minister of Agriculture.”
He explained that “the ministerial committee in the Ministry of Agriculture took samples of dead animals, specifically buffalo, and they were sent to international laboratories to ensure injuries and the type of injury, as sterilizers were published in the fields, animal pollination, and the distribution of medicines for free,” noting that “all the damage to the breeders were limited to all the provinces of Iraq in which injuries appeared.”
Al -Jubouri added, “There were no cases of infection in power in all the provinces of Iraq in recent days, as the markets have returned to their normal state in terms of stabilizing the prices of red meat,” Al -Jubouri added.
He noted that “the specialists and experts in the Ministry of Health confirmed that foot -and -mouth is not transferred from animal meat to humans, and therefore all livestock products are safe.”
He continued that “the injuries of the foot -and -mouth disease ended in all the provinces of Iraq, as they were fully controlled,” noting that “the ministry succeeded in its precautionary measures during the previous period.”
The Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Jabr, announced, earlier, that the injuries of the foot -and -mouth fever had decreased significantly, stressing that its numbers this year are less than previous years.
