Italian club Juventus announced today that French midfielder Khephren Thuram and American winger Timothy Weah will be absent from the stadiums for at least ten days due to injury.

The club said in a statement that the two players were injured during their team’s victory over Como in the first round of the Italian Football League.

The two players underwent tests after the match, which ended with Juventus winning 3-0, and witnessed Weah scoring his team’s second goal in the 45+1 minute before leaving the field at the beginning of the second half.

Tests revealed that Thuram had sustained an injury to the hamstring muscle of his left leg, while Weah had sustained an injury to the hamstring muscle of his right leg, according to a club statement.

The Italian club indicated that new tests are scheduled for both players after about ten days.

Juventus signed Khephren Thuram, the son of retired French player Lilian Thuram, the 1998 World Cup winner, and brother of Inter player Marcus Thuram, last July, while Timothy Weah, the son of Liberian George Weah, who won the Ballon d’Or in 1995, joined Juventus in the summer of 2023.
