One billion riyals, the volume of real estate transactions last June

The volume of real estate trading in sales contracts registered with the Real Estate Registration Department of the Ministry of Justice during last June amounted to one billion and 692 million and 43 thousand and 246 riyals.

Data from the Analytical Real Estate Bulletin issued by the Ministry of Justice showed that 541 real estate transactions were registered during last June. The municipalities of Doha, Al Rayyan and Al Wakra topped the most active transactions in terms of financial value during the past month, according to the real estate market index, followed in terms of transaction volumes by the municipalities of Al Daayen, Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Thakhira, Al Shamal and Al Sheehaniya.

The real estate market index for June 2026 revealed that the financial value of Doha Municipality’s transactions amounted to 649 million, 140 thousand and 471 riyals, while the value of transactions in Al-Rayyan Municipality amounted to 418 million, 378 thousand and 172 riyals, and Al-Wakrah Municipality amounted to 236 million, 184 thousand and 621 riyals, while the value of transactions in Al-Daayen Municipality amounted to 159 million, 630 thousand and 584. riyals, while Umm Salal Municipality recorded trades worth 121,524,223 riyals, the value of trades in Al Khor and Al Dhakhira Municipality amounted to 79,874,775 riyals, Al Shamal Municipality recorded trades worth 24,660,400 riyals, while Al Sheehaniya Municipality recorded trades worth 2,650,000 riyals.

The indicators also showed that the municipalities of Al-Rayyan, Doha, and Al-Wakrah were the most active municipalities in terms of real estate spaces traded during the past month, with a rate of 34 percent for the municipality of Al-Rayyan, followed by the municipality of Doha, with a rate of 21 percent, and the municipality of Al-Wakrah, with a rate of 20 percent, while the municipalities of Umm Salal and Al-Daayen recorded a rate of 8 percent of the total spaces traded for each of them, and the municipality of Al-Khor and Al-Dhakhira, a rate of 6 percent, and the municipality of Al-Shamal, a rate of 3 percent.

Trading indicators showed that the most active municipalities during the month of June in terms of the number of properties sold were the municipalities of Al Rayyan and Doha with 25 percent each, then Al Wakrah municipality with 23 percent, while Al Daayen municipality recorded transactions with a rate of 9 percent, the municipalities of Umm Salal, Al Khor and Al Dhakhira with 7 percent each, and the municipality of Al Shamal with 4 percent of the total real estate transactions.

Average prices per square foot during the month of June ranged between 499 and 925 riyals in Doha, 242 and 424 riyals in Al Wakrah, 367 and 442 riyals in Al Rayyan, 348 and 453 riyals in Umm Salal, 351 and 550 riyals in Al Daayen, 260 and 322 riyals in Al Khor and Al Dhakhira, and 161 and 256 riyals in the north. And 262 riyals in Al Sheehaniya.

The trading volume revealed the highest value of 10 properties sold during the month of June, including 5 properties in Doha Municipality, 3 properties in Al Rayyan Municipality, and one property in each of Al Daayen and Umm Salal municipalities.
In terms of mortgage transactions, the number of mortgage transactions that took place during the month of June reached 109, with a total value amounting to 3 billion and 78 million and 26 thousand and 896 riyals. Doha Municipality recorded the highest number of mortgage transactions with 42 transactions, equivalent to 38.5 percent of the total number of mortgaged properties, followed by Al Rayyan Municipality with 25 transactions, equivalent to 22.9 percent, then Al Daayen Municipality with 20. A transaction, equivalent to 18.3 percent, and Al-Wakrah Municipality with 9 transactions, representing 8.3 percent of the total mortgaged properties, Umm Salal Municipality, with 8 transactions, representing 7.3 percent, Al-Khor and Al-Dhakhira Municipality, with 4 transactions, representing 3.7 percent, and Al-Sheehaniya Municipality, with one transaction, representing 0.9 percent.

Regarding the value of mortgages, Doha Municipality came in the lead with a value of two billion and 582 million and 254 thousand and 206 riyals, while Al Sheehaniya Municipality recorded the lowest mortgage value of two million and 858 thousand and 580 riyals.
Regarding the movement and volume of mortgage transactions that took place during the month, Doha Municipality recorded 8 of the top 10 mortgaged properties, while the municipalities of Al Wakra and Umm Salal recorded one property each, and the volume of mortgage transactions for the top 10 properties reached 81 percent of the total value of all mortgage transactions that took place during the month.

In the field of residential units, the number of transactions registered during the month of June reached 150, with a total value amounting to 232 million, 679 thousand and 683 riyals, thus recording an increase in trading volume compared to May 2026.

Real estate trading data during the month of June 2026 indicates that the real estate sector continues its steady and strong growth in various investment and commercial fields, thus continuing the active trading movement witnessed by the sector during the recent period, especially with the issuance of new laws and decisions related to real estate brokerage, real estate registration and documentation, ownership and usufruct, in addition to laws that attract local and foreign capital. These data confirm the strength and solidity of the foundations of the Qatari economy and the continued growth of the real estate sector as one of its main components.
