The Brazilian national team qualified for the quarter-finals after defeating its Angolan counterpart with a score of (30-19) during the match that brought them together today, in the final round of Group Two of the women’s handball competitions, within the competitions of the Olympic Games /Paris 2024/.
The Brazilian team succeeded in securing its lead in the first half with a score of (14-6) and ended the second half also leading (16-13).
With this victory, Brazil raised its score to (4) points in fourth place, qualifying for the quarter-finals, while Angola’s score stopped at (3) points in fifth place and left the tournament.
In the remaining matches, the Netherlands defeated Hungary with a score of (30-26), after ending the first half with a score of (19-16), and the Netherlands also ended the second half with a one-goal difference with a score of (11-10).
With this victory, the Dutch team’s score rose to eight points in second place, while the Hungarian team’s score stopped at (5) points in third place, and both teams secured qualification to the quarter-finals before this round.
The French team also defeated its Spanish counterpart with a score of (32-24) after the French team ended the first half leading (17-9), before the Spanish team equalized with a score of (15-15).
With this victory, the French team’s score rose to (10) points at the top of the standings, and it had secured its qualification for the next round, while the Spanish team bid farewell to the competition by coming in last place with no points.
