Generation Amazing Foundation participated in the “United in Sport” forum, which was held in the French capital, Paris, on the sidelines of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games (Paris 2024).

During the forum, Nasser Al Khori, CEO of Generation Amazing, highlighted Generation Amazing’s contributions as a human and social legacy initiative for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, reviewing the Foundation’s successes in engaging and empowering youth.

He stressed the transformative impact of the Goal 22 programme, a pioneering year-long global exchange programme aimed at youth empowerment and sports development, which kicked off at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and concluded at the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup in Miami, USA.

Al-Khouri also noted that the Goal 22 programme was the first of its kind to be hosted on the sidelines of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, where young leaders from 32 countries participating in the World Cup participated in a year-long global exchange, and reviewed the legacy of sport for development and the social impact that major sporting events can have.

He highlighted that through this programme, young leaders developed projects that address critical societal challenges through sport, such as mental health, social cohesion and gender equality, and received grants and expert insights to enable them to bring their ideas to life.

Generation Amazing Youth Ambassador Mohamed Al Qassabi and the Foundation’s Director of Operations Paulette Sanchez, presented the Foundation’s transformative initiatives at the forum through a series of dynamic workshops aimed at addressing the daily challenges faced by young leaders.

The United in Sport Forum was held as part of the Festival 24 programme, an international youth solidarity festival on the sidelines of the Paris 2024 Olympics and Special Olympics.
