The Qatar Boxing and Wrestling Federation honored boxer Fares Ali Al Thani, who won the bronze medal in the Asian Junior and Promising Championship finals hosted by the UAE.
The boxer managed to win the bronze medal in the over 80 kg weight category, after presenting high technical levels during his three matches, where he won the first and second rounds, but lost in the semi-final match against his Iranian competitor.
Mr. Khalid Al-Mas, member of the Qatar Boxing and Wrestling Federation and head of the boxing department, expressed his happiness with the success achieved by the promising boxer.
For his part, boxer Fares Ali Al Thani expressed his great happiness at achieving this accomplishment, noting that he had hoped to achieve more than that and win a gold medal.
