Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, a foundation stone laying ceremony was held yesterday for the “The Land of Legends” project, Qatar, known as the Land of Legends, marking the beginning of the development of a unique destination that aims to bring about a radical transformation in the fields of tourism and entertainment. This pioneering project comes as a result of the distinguished partnership between Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company and FTG Development Company, making it the most prominent entertainment destination in the heart of the Simaisma area.
On this occasion, His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the Entertainment City project in the Simaisma Beach project is a new and important step towards strengthening the tourism and entertainment sector in the State of Qatar.
His Excellency added in a post on his official account on the “X” social media platform: “We seek for this project to be supportive of enhancing the tourism scene and supportive of achieving the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030.”
The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah, Minister of Municipality and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, a number of Their Excellencies ministers, Engineer Ali bin Mohammed Al-Ali, CEO of Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, and Mr. Fattah Tamins, President and Founder of Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company. “The Land of Legends” Qatar project, known as the Land of Legends, is considered a foreign investment project in the tourism sector in the State of Qatar, and the first major development project to begin its work within the Simaisma project, which extends over an area of 8 million square meters and is characterized by a stunning view of the waterfront. 7 km long. The Land of Legends Qatar project, known as the Land of Legends, which is expected to attract two million visitors annually, will play a prominent role in enhancing the tourism scene in Qatar and supporting the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030 with regard to diversifying the resources of the national economy. The project, which extends over an area of 650,000 square meters, offers its visitors a unique experience that takes them through a journey inspired by the travels of the famous Arab traveler Ibn Battuta, by exploring seven areas, each of which has a special character and includes many unique attractions. The Land of Legends Qatar project can be explored as a modern journey full of interactive experiences, stunning natural landscapes, and amazing cultural elements.
The anticipated project will be full of all kinds of joy and entertainment that suit all aspirations and ages, including the “Kingdom” hotel suitable for families, conference centers and beach activities, in addition to the “Music” hotel, which will be a culturally rich destination that celebrates international music and its future development. The splendor of the experience is completed by the presence of 1,000 hotel rooms distributed between the two hotels and containing distinctive landmarks such as an 80-meter-high mountain, boat processions that pass through canals surrounded by stunning scenery, and an atmosphere of exciting water adventures. Visitors to this destination will also have an appointment with the first “moving theater” in the region, which is equipped with the latest interactive technologies that ensure the provision of an immersive and integrated cinematic experience. On the occasion of laying the foundation stone for the first major entertainment destination within the Simaisma project, His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, Minister of Municipality and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, said: “This event represents an important step through which we aim to strengthen Qatar’s position on the regional and international arenas. In turn, Engineer Ali bin Mohammed Al Ali, CEO of Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, stressed that this event represents a prominent milestone in the process of enhancing Qatar’s tourism status at the regional and global levels.
