Qatar Airways continues to enhance its position as one of the most advanced airlines in the world, as it announced during the second edition of the Qatar Summit Qatar 2025 on a set of leading technological initiatives aimed at improving the travel experience, enhancing air communication, and providing services supported by the latest artificial intelligence technologies, as part of its commitment to continuous innovation and development.
Engineer Badr Mohamed El -Mir, CEO of the Qatar Airways Group during his participation in a discussion session within the activities of the web summit yesterday, confirmed that the national carrier relies in its vision on a proactive and pioneering approach that makes it advanced in ten steps on competitors. By investing in the latest technology, the company is working to improve travelers’ experience before these improvements become a global standard and said: “We are not only thinking at the present time, but we are planning for years to come, and this distinguishes us. We are working according to a vision that always makes us one ten steps on competitors. ”
He added, “Four months ago, we committed to providing an advanced air communication experience, and now, many of our passengers enjoy this service. This confirms the importance of the proactive orientation in providing our services, as we are not satisfied with keeping pace with developments, but we are at the forefront of innovation.
He also touched on the quality of the internet service provided on board the aircraft by saying, “Qatar Airways promised to provide the best wireless communication service on the plane for its passengers, and here we deny our promise and our commitment and at an unprecedented pace as well. In just four months since the launch of the first Boeing 777, a Starlink service has been launched, 30 aircraft have been equipped with this advanced service, bypassing our initial targets. Where this achievement reflects the efficiency of our team, and this service will also change the rules of the game for our passengers who will soon enjoy a smooth and high -speed connection to more tracks. ”
The latest technology
He continued: «Last year, we started implementing the latest air communication technologies, as we reached 50 % of the fleet equipped with this technology in just six months. As we continue to work, we seek to reduce the time of the installation of the system on aircraft from three days to only nine hours. Our goal is that all of our fleet be equipped with high -quality internet services by the end of the year. We are working closely with Boeing, Airbus and the “Starlink” team to ensure that Qatar Airways is the first airline company to offer these technologies. For example, there was no official approval to use specific programs on A350 and B777 aircraft, but we succeeded in persuading all the relevant parties and regulatory bodies and we adopted the required technical solution, which made us the first airline providing this service. ”
The future of air travel
The CEO of the Qatar Airways Group said that artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the main pillars of the company’s development plans. This field is no longer just a future idea, but has become part of the digital transformation of the aviation industry. We are strongly investing in artificial intelligence to improve customer experience and provide advanced solutions that make travel more comfortable and flexible.
He also pointed out that the leadership is not an option, but a permanent commitment to Qatar Airways, saying: “We do not follow the trends but rather make them. Our commitment to continuous innovation and development is what always keeps us in the foreground. From smart technologies to improve customer experience, we continue to work to ensure that Qatar will remain at the forefront of the global aviation industry. ” Through smart technologies, advanced services, and pre -emptive strategies, Qatari continues to redefine the experience of air travel and raise the standards of excellence globally. ”
