Qatar Chamber concludes the activities of the Future Entrepreneurs Camp

The activities of the “Future Entrepreneurs Camp” concluded at the Qatar Chamber, which was organized in cooperation with the Young Entrepreneurs Club (under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth), and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Institutional Excellence at Qatar University during the period from July 29 to August 11, with the participation of 37 entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises.

Mr. Ali Bou Sherbak Al Mansouri, the acting Director General of the Chamber, confirmed that the camp received a great turnout from new entrepreneurs who wish to enter the world of business and trade and learn about the most important experiences and sufficient knowledge, noting what this camp included, especially the distinguished group of experienced male and female trainers in the field of entrepreneurship who shared their entrepreneurial experiences and provided valuable information to the participants to benefit from in their professional future.

Al Mansouri pointed out the importance of the ongoing cooperation between the Young Entrepreneurs Club, the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Institutional Excellence, and the Qatar Chamber in many important events and initiatives that aim to promote and support entrepreneurship among young people in Qatar.

For his part, Dr. Ibrahim Khalid Al Sulaiti, Chairman of the Young Entrepreneurs Club, praised the roles of the Ministry of Sports and Youth for its efforts in sponsoring young people and enabling them to achieve their ambitions, the Qatar Chamber for the success of the camp, and for its continuous support for the club and its contribution to developing the entrepreneurship environment in the country, and Qatar University for its role in promoting knowledge and innovation, as well as the Business Incubator at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for its support in developing youth ideas and projects.

Al Sulaiti pointed out that these partnerships between these parties are a living embodiment of Qatar Vision 2030, which seeks to achieve sustainable development in all fields, and develop generations capable of contributing to building a bright future.

During the closing ceremony, the participating parties in the camp were honored, namely the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Digital Business Incubator, the Gulf Glass Factory, and the Qatar Aluminum Extrusion Company, in addition to the trainers, both male and female, and the camp participants.

The two-week camp witnessed discussions on entrepreneurship, its importance, developing ideas in the work environment, leadership and communication skills, sustainability in entrepreneurship, and the business model. It also included a group of workshops on creative thinking and idea generation, and a number of field visits to the Gulf Glass Factory, the Qatar Aluminum Extrusion Company, and the Digital Business Incubator, in addition to a variety of training sessions, workshops, and recreational activities.

The Future Entrepreneurs Camp, which targeted high school and university students, comes within the framework of initiatives, activities and events held by Qatar Chamber to promote entrepreneurship, and introduce Qatari entrepreneurs and owners of small, medium and emerging companies to the best practices and methods in establishing companies and helping them grow, develop and continue their businesses.

The camp aims to provide an educational and interactive environment to develop entrepreneurial ideas and projects, enhance leadership and teamwork skills, encourage effective communication and critical thinking, and provide opportunities to network with entrepreneurs and professionals in this field.
