Qatar Chamber confirms the success of the State of Qatar in building strong trade relations at the regional and international levels

Qatar Chamber participated in the activities of the Arab-Turkish Economic Forum in its fifteenth session, which was held in Istanbul under the slogan “Turkey and the Arab World: A Global Corridor for Investment, Trade and Technology.”

The chamber delegation was headed by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and the delegation also included Mr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Obaidli, Member of the Board of Directors.

The forum aims to deepen economic relations between Turkey and the Arab countries by enhancing Arab economic integration, improving cooperation mechanisms, encouraging the exchange of experiences, and opening new horizons for trade and investment growth between Turkey and the Arab world.

In this context, Mr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Obaidli, a member of the Board of Directors, participated in a discussion session at the forum entitled “Building Global Trade Corridors,” in which he spoke about Qatar’s regional strategies in trade and investment and the role of the Qatar Chamber in developing regional trade corridors.

During his intervention, he said that the State of Qatar has succeeded in building strong and rapidly growing trade and economic relations at the regional and international levels, noting that this is due to the sound economic strategies adopted by the state, as Qatar’s trade has witnessed significant growth.

He added that over the past fifteen years, the country has focused on developing world-class infrastructure in preparation for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, as it created an attractive commercial and investment environment, enacted many major economic laws and regulations, and built distinguished relations with countries. the world.

Al-Obaidli pointed out that the Qatar Chamber contributed to promoting the investment climate and opportunities and the Qatari economy, and also supported various initiatives aimed at strengthening trade relations with neighboring and foreign countries, in addition to focusing on enhancing cooperation between local companies and their international counterparts by hosting foreign trade missions and organizing trade delegations. From Qatar to other countries, and actively participate in international conferences and trade exhibitions.

Al-Obaidli also touched on investment priorities in Qatar and the most prominent strategic sectors that provide opportunities for cooperation to expand trade between Türkiye and the Arab region.
