Qatar Chamber discusses trade and investment cooperation with business sectors in Estonia

Qatar Chamber welcomed cooperation between the Qatari and Estonian business sectors, stressing its support for establishing effective partnerships between the two parties, and benefiting from the investment climate and advantages that the State of Qatar grants to foreign investors, and the diversity of investment opportunities and advanced infrastructure.

This came during a meeting between Mr. Mohammed bin Towar Al Kuwari, First Vice President of the Qatar Chamber, with His Excellency Mr. Markus Tsakna, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting Doha.

During the meeting, aspects of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and the role of the private sector in strengthening relations were reviewed, especially in the fields of information technology, digital solutions, cybersecurity, data analysis, and others.

The First Vice President of the Qatar Chamber stressed that the Chamber welcomes cooperation between the Qatari and Estonian business sectors, and supports the establishment of effective partnerships between the two parties, calling on Estonian companies to invest in Qatar and benefit from the investment climate and advantages that the State of Qatar grants to foreign investors, and the abundance of investment opportunities and advanced infrastructure.

He stressed that there is interest on the part of Qatari companies in adopting digital solutions, employing and using modern technologies, and using artificial intelligence applications, which presents an opportunity for companies from the two countries to establish joint investments and commercial and economic alliances, whether in Qatar or in Estonia.

Bin Towar pointed out that the two countries enjoy an abundance of capabilities and opportunities, and that the private sector in the two countries has a great responsibility in stimulating trade cooperation, in light of the Qataris’ interest in exploring investment opportunities available in Estonia in various sectors, and developing and supporting economic relations and trade cooperation.

In this context, Mr. Markus Tsakana, Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs, said that there is great interest on the part of Estonian companies in identifying the available opportunities and in entering the Qatari market, and that he came at the head of a delegation representing major companies in the field of technology and digital solutions that have a presence in major global markets, pointing out that The importance of coordination to increase trade and economic cooperation between Estonia and Qatar.

Tsakna pointed out that the private sector in Estonia has a major role and contribution to the economy, and that the technology, information technology, and financial services industries are at the forefront of the economic sectors, calling on Qatari business owners and investors to learn about the opportunities available in his country, and to enter into effective partnerships with Estonian companies.
