Mr. Mohammed bin Towar Al Kuwari, First Vice President of the Qatar Chamber, called on Uzbek companies to invest in Qatar, expressing the interest of the business sector in Qatar in investment opportunities in Uzbekistan, which is considered a leading investment destination and a promising market with rich resources and enormous potential.
This came in his speech during the Qatari-Uzbekistan Business Forum held in the capital, Tashkent, and discussed the cooperation relations between the two countries in the trade and economic fields, the climate and available investment opportunities, the keenness of the two sides to strengthen cooperation mechanisms between the business sectors of the two countries, and the role of the private sector in enhancing trade exchange.
On the sidelines of the forum, cooperation agreements were signed between Qatari and Uzbek companies.
The First Vice President of the Qatar Chamber stressed the strength and durability of the relations between the two countries, which constitute a strong base towards launching further cooperation and partnership between the private sectors in both friendly countries, noting the mutual visits between the two countries at the leadership level, which reflect the strength of these relations and the common keenness to support them. And developed in various fields.
Al Kuwari considered Uzbekistan one of the fastest growing economies in the region, pointing out that the Qatar Chamber believes that there are great opportunities for cooperation in many sectors, including energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and modern technology.
He stressed the Chamber’s support for cooperation between Qatari companies and their Uzbek counterparts, and the establishment of partnerships and commercial alliances that contribute to developing trade exchange between the two friendly countries, calling on Uzbek companies to invest in Qatar, which provides a promising investment environment, world-class infrastructure, advanced economic legislation, and promising investment opportunities. .
Bin Towar stressed the Qatar Chamber’s readiness to assist Uzbek investors wishing to enter the Qatari market, and provide them with the necessary information about establishing business in Qatar, and procedures and legislation related to foreign capital.
On the other hand, Mr. Mohammed bin Towar Al Kuwari, First Vice President of the Qatar Chamber, met with His Excellency Mr. Leziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the commercial and industrial fields, and ways to enhance mutual investments.
Bin Towar also met with His Excellency Mr. Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the meeting discussed opportunities for joint cooperation in the fields of digitization and modern technology. Bin Towar made a field tour of the most prominent real estate development projects in the city of Tashkent.
During a field tour in the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara, Bin Towar met with His Excellency Mr. Oybek Nematov, Deputy Governor of the Samarkand Region, and His Excellency Mr. Butir Zaripov, Governor of the Bukhara Region.
During the two meetings, ways to enhance cooperation relations were discussed.
