Qatar Development Bank has launched an electronic application service for vacant shops in Al Furjan markets directly through the Qatar Development Bank digital portal application. Announcing the launch of the direct application initiative according to the specified terms and criteria, especially after exhausting all reserve lists of the offered activities and with the aim of simplifying the process of allocating vacant shops, raising the level of efficiency of markets and operators, and improving the quality of services provided in the markets to the residents of the areas.
The new service on the digital portal allows direct application for vacant shops, taking into account specific and simple conditions, including submitting a valid commercial register that matches the required commercial activity, in addition to the Qatari ID card of the owner according to the commercial register, the national address of the company and the owner, and a valid commercial license. The portal also provides a priority criterion for residents of the regions in allocating vacancies if the technical criteria are met.
Through this new service, project owners and interested parties can now find out about vacant shops through the bank’s digital portal and access all the information related to them, such as their locations, available commercial activities, and application conditions. It also provides them with an easy and quick process that starts with downloading the bank’s digital portal application, filling out the form, uploading the required documents, and then submitting the application to be considered through a technical evaluation process according to the specified criteria. On the other hand, the digital portal provides comprehensive support by providing the necessary information and guidance. With the ability to submit applications easily at any time and place, and to post vacancies continuously and directly through the platform.
For his part, Mr. Ali Mohsen Al Nuaimi, Director of Asset Management and Development, stressed that the aim of this initiative is to ensure a transparent and effective allocation process, allowing business owners to obtain suitable commercial locations, to enhance their chances of success. Al Nuaimi added: “Our ongoing work on the Furjan Markets project is in line with our goals of developing and supporting the entrepreneurship ecosystem. We believe in the importance of this type of project, which directly benefits both the economy and society.”
