Qatar Economic Forum 2025 .. Signing a memorandum of understanding between the Qatar Council for Research, Development and Innovation

The Qatar Council for Research, Development and Innovation, and the Finnish Financial Finance Center, which is the national authority concerned with the financing of innovation in Finland, signed a memorandum of understanding during the opening day of the fifth edition of the Qatar Economic Forum 2025, within the framework of consolidating joint cooperation.

This strategic partnership between the two sides aims to enhance the exchange of ideas, information, experiences and skills, support joint initiatives in the fields of research, development and innovation, and benefit from the strength of the system of research, development and innovation in Qatar, and Finnish global experience in the areas of innovation and sustainability, in opening new horizons for transferring knowledge, attracting investments, and diversifying the economy.

It was signed on the Memorandum of Understanding by the Qatar Council for Research, Development and Innovation, Eng. Omar Al -Ansari, Secretary -General of the Council, while it was signed by the Finnish side, Mr. Yarno Seriala, Deputy Minister of International Trade.

Seriala commented on this occasion, saying: “By signing this memo, we take concrete steps to accelerate cooperation in the fields of research, development and innovation between our two countries,” noting that “this partnership confirms our commitment to work together to enhance and promote the exchange of ideas, information and skills to benefit the economy of the two countries.”

For his part, the Secretary -General of the Qatar Council for Research, Development and Innovation said that the council is looking forward to the results of this partnership, which will create new opportunities, pushing towards the development of innovative solutions, and contributes to building a more sustainable future, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, adding that “with innovation considering a major axis in the third national development strategy, we are confident that we will enhance the research, development, innovation and achievement system Effective results.

The strategic partnership between the two sides includes major areas of cooperation, among them: mutual promotion of innovation programs and initiatives, and supporting the linking efforts between Qatari and Finnish companies, which seek to expand or cooperate in industrial research projects or joint innovative projects, in addition to exchanging knowledge in vital areas.
