Qatar Insurance Company concluded its 2026 summer training program, which extended from June to August, and provided a group of outstanding high school students from educational institutions in Qatar with the opportunity to gain direct practical experience in the insurance and financial services sector.
The program comes within the framework of Qatar Insurance’s ongoing efforts to provide trainees with an early exposure to the professional work environment, and to help them better understand the opportunities available in the insurance sector. The trainees were selected based on their academic performance and interest in developing their knowledge in this sector. They spent the summer learning and benefiting from the expertise of Qatar Insurance professionals across a variety of functions and operational and institutional sectors.
During the program, trainees were exposed to a number of key areas in Qatar Insurance’s operations, including underwriting, claims, customer experience, and risk analysis. They also gained an understanding of the role of departments such as IT, Human Resources, and Legal in supporting the company’s business in an integrated manner.
In addition to daily learning, the trainees participated in workshops, practical activities, and group tasks aimed at enhancing the spirit of teamwork, exchanging ideas, and applying what they learned in a practical way. The experience also focused on developing practical skills that will benefit the students during their educational journey and help them when they start thinking about their future career paths.
Commenting on the programme, Mr. Rashid Al Buainain, Chief Administrative Officer at Qatar Insurance, said: “Developing human capital in the State of Qatar begins with giving young people the appropriate opportunities to learn, gain experience, and learn about the world of work. We at Qatar Insurance are proud to support this trend through the summer training program, which gives students the opportunity to learn early about the insurance sector, and at the same time helps them develop important skills and enhance their self-confidence.
