Abdullah Mubarak, the technical director of Al Khor team, confirmed his team’s readiness for tomorrow’s match against Al Shahaniya, which will be hosted by Al Bayt World Cup Stadium, in the second round of the Qatar Football League “Ooredoo Stars League” for the 2024/2025 season.
Al Khor coach added in a statement during the press conference preceding the match that his team will play the match on the principle of cup matches, pointing out the great importance of the match points.
He explained that the preparations for the match went well and that he worked to correct some mistakes, expressing his great confidence in his team’s ability to achieve a satisfactory result.
For his part, the Spanish Alvaro Mejia, the technical director of Al-Shahaniya team, said that the two teams know each other after meeting on several occasions during the second division league last season, stressing that the two teams have changed a lot after adding many professional players.
He added that “his team is taking it step by step and the match will not be easy, as the last confrontation between the two teams was very difficult.”
Al-Shahaniya coach explained that his goal is to remain in the Ooredoo Stars League, noting that the league will be very difficult, given what the first round witnessed, as all teams presented similar levels.
It is noteworthy that Al Khor tied in the opening round against Al Gharafa without goals, and the same was the case with Al Shahaniya, who forced a goalless draw against Al Arabi.
