Al-Shahaniya Club announced today that it has signed a contract with player Nasser Al-Ahraq, coming from Al-Gharafa Club, for one season.
The signing of the player comes in light of the team’s desire to strengthen its ranks with a number of players, in preparation for the Qatar Football League (Ooredoo Stars League), which will start next Friday.
During the current summer transfers, Al-Shahaniya signed a contract with the Dutch striker Billy van Amersfoort, coming from the Dutch club Heerenveen, and also included his compatriot, defender Sven van Beek, coming from the same club.
The club renewed its contracts with Sierra Leonean Alhassan Koroma, Belgian Francisco Antonucci, and Spanish defender Marc Martinez, and also announced the continuation of Spanish coach Alvaro Mejia, who will lead the team in the new season.
The team, which hopes to achieve the best results, will begin its journey in the league championship by facing Al Arabi next Sunday at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium at Al Sadd Club.
