Qatar League.. Al-Wakrah Club signs striker Moayad Hassan from Al-Markhiya

Al-Wakrah Club announced today that it has signed a contract with striker Moayad Hassan to strengthen the ranks of the first football team, coming from Al-Markhiya Club.

The club stated in its statement on its website on the X platform that the 32-year-old player officially signed a contract to join the team to begin his career starting from the current 2024-2025 season.

During the current summer transfer period, Al-Wakrah signed a contract with the Spanish coach Angel Miguel, and also added to its ranks defender Tamim Al-Muhaizaa coming from Al-Markhiya Club, Cape Verde striker Ricardo Gomez coming from Al-Shamal Club, Danish defender Alexander Schultz coming from the Japanese club Urawa Red, in addition to Tunisian Issa Al-Aidouni coming from the German club Union Berlin.

Last season, the team won the Qatar Cup title after defeating Al Rayyan in the final by one goal to nil, and finished the Qatari League championship last season in fourth place as well.

Al-Wakra team is preparing to face the Iranian Tractor team on September 18 in the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2, under its new name, after the draw placed it at the top of Group 1 alongside Tractor Iran, Mohun Bagan Super Giant India, and Ravshan Tajikistan.
