Qatar national team faces Chinese Taipei tomorrow in the Asian Youth Handball Championship

The Qatari youth handball team will meet the Chinese Taipei team tomorrow, Tuesday, in its last match in the round to determine the ninth to thirteenth places in the 18th Asian Youth Handball Championship, currently being held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, and will continue until next Thursday, qualifying for the 2025 World Championship in Poland.
The Qatari team is looking for its third victory in this round, as it had achieved two victories, one against Hong Kong with a score of 46/19 and the other against India with a score of 50/36, compared to one loss against China with a score of 31/36.
The Qatari team came in third place in Group 4 of the group stage, having tied in its first match with its Japanese counterpart with a score of 25/25, while losing the second match to the Korean team with a score of 24/33, and winning the third match against the Chinese Taipei team with a score of 29/26.
The top four teams will qualify for the 2025 World Cup.
It is noteworthy that the Qatari national team won the Asian Youth Handball Championship title five times in 1994, 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016.
