The State of Qatar participated in the work of the extraordinary session of the Economic and Social Council at the ministerial level. And that is at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo, and with the participation of heads and members of Arab delegations. The delegation of the State of Qatar, in the work of the Council at the ministerial level, was chaired by Dr. Saud bin Abdullah Al -Attiyah, Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs, at the Ministry of Finance.
The council’s agenda discussed a number of economic and social items, foremost of which is the progress made in completing the requirements of the Great Arab Free Trade Zone and the developments of the Arab Customs Union. He also reviewed the Arab Food Security Strategy schedule 2025-2030. These meetings come in preparation for the 34th session of the regular summit and the development summit at its fifth session to be held in May in the Republic of Iraq.
