The Qatar Stock Exchange index ended the week’s transactions to a decline of 3.44 percent, and its score lost 365.360 points, to go down to the level of 10261 points, compared to the closure of last week, with pressure from various sectors, as the transportation sector recorded this week the largest decrease with 6.65 percent, followed by the telecommunications sector by 5.67 percent.
On the performance of the stock exchange this week, Mr. Youssef Bouhaliqa called on the financial market analyst, in statements to the Qatar News Agency /Qena /, investors to deal with the market with caution, and not to sell random, and keep shares at the present time, noting that if liquidity is available, the opportunity will be available and the prices are attractive to purchase, especially those related to the shares of leadership companies.
The local portfolios expected purchases in the event of a change and decline in demand for shares of listed companies, especially since these portfolios have the capabilities and ability to pay the Qatar Exchange performance.
Financial market analyst attributed the weekly decline in the Qatar Stock Exchange index to the speculative operations taking place in the markets by individual investors in order to seize opportunities or to strengthen their centers in companies with strong foundations, especially on the Qatar Stock Exchange, considering that the image is “still fog”, and that the current situation is not sustainable due to the uncertainty of investors. The Qatar Stock Exchange index closed its trading yesterday, down 86.770 points, or 0.840 percent, to reach the level of 10261.14 points. During the session, 277 million, 638 thousand and 249 shares were traded, at a value of one billion and 97 million and 727 thousand and 934,440 riyals, as a result of the implementation of 22008 deals in all sectors. The shares of 5 companies increased in the session, while the shares of 46 other companies decreased, while one company maintained the price of its previous closure.
