Qatar Stock Exchange Index loses 10.78 points at the start of trading

The Qatar Stock Exchange index declined at the beginning of today’s trading by 0.11 percent, losing 10.78 points from its balance and thus falling to 10,177 points compared to the closing of yesterday’s session (Tuesday), under pressure from four sectors.

Figures issued by the stock exchange showed an increase in the performance of some sectors. The communications sector rose by 0.90 percent, the transportation sector by 0.07 percent, and the consumer goods and services sector by 0.04 percent. On the other hand, the insurance sector decreased by 0.41 percent, the industries sector by 0.31 percent, the banking and financial services sector by 0.18 percent, and the real estate sector by 0.05 percent.

At around 10:00 am, the Qatar Stock Exchange recorded trading worth 62.013 million riyals, distributed over 22.663 million shares through the execution of 1990 transactions.
