The English coach, Anthony Hudson, Al-Arabi coach, expressed his hope to turn the page on the failure in the last round against Al-Shamal and restore the tone of victories to compensate during the confrontation against Qatar Club scheduled for tomorrow (Sunday), at Al-Thumama Stadium in the eighth round of the Qatari Football League (Areed Stars League) competitions.
The coach said in a statement today during the press conference that his team prepared well for the upcoming confrontation, as the technical staff worked to address the negatives and focus on the positives after playing the Kuwaiti Al-Qadisiyah match, which was held last Wednesday in the Gulf Club Champions League.
The coach explained that Al-Arabi needs to restore positive results, as the team includes a good group of players in its ranks, and the current focus will be on how to improve performance, and make good use of opportunities in front of the competitors’ goal to obtain the three points and advance in the competition table.
The coach stressed the importance of the upcoming confrontation against Qatar Club, calling on his players to do their best to achieve victory and obtain the three points, as he acknowledged the difficulty of the match in light of what the opposing team presented during its previous match against Al-Wakrah, in which it won by two goals to one.
For his part, Moroccan Youssef Safri, coach of Qatar Club, pointed out the importance of his team continuing its awakening to achieve a new victory in the confrontation against Al-Arabi.
The coach said in a statement at the press conference that he is aware of the difficulty of the task that awaits his team in the next match against Al Arabi, calling on his players to continue performing well and to focus on exploiting opportunities, with the importance of the team’s defense line being in a good state of focus to achieve the desired result in this match.
Safri affirmed his confidence in the players’ ability to give their best, to achieve victory and obtain the three points, especially since they are making a great effort in training and matches with the aim of achieving the results that everyone is looking forward to and progressing well in the competition’s ranking table, indicating that his team deserves a better position than the one it is in. Currently, this requires continuing to work and providing the best possible in every match the team plays.
It is worth noting that Al-Arabi lost its last match against Al-Shamal with a score of 2-5, occupying ninth place with 7 points, while Qatar Club is in tenth place with the same balance of points and goal difference, after its victory in the last round over Al-Wakrah by two goals to one.
