Qatar Rail, in cooperation with a group of the most prominent school supplies suppliers in the State of Qatar, launched the “Back to School” exhibition event at the Sports City Station on the Doha Metro Gold Line, which will continue until September 3, 2024, as part of its preparations for the new school year.
The event is part of a series of “Metro Events” that the company holds for the public at metro stations throughout the year, as part of its plan to transform metro stations into vital attractions and destinations for various segments of society.
The event, hosted by the Sports City Station daily from 2pm to 10pm, provides the public and customers with the opportunity to discover the exclusive offers that will be presented by libraries and stores specializing in selling school supplies on the occasion of the approaching start of the new school year.
Commercial spaces have been allocated inside the Sports City station for a number of leading bookstores to display their various products. The exhibition also brings together under its umbrella a number of other shops specializing in selling school supplies, educational games, and others. The public can easily reach the event through the metro network of its three lines by heading to the Sports City station located on the Gold Line, or by heading directly through the station entrance next to the car parks around Khalifa International Stadium.
A number of activities for children will be held on the sidelines of the event, such as drawing, arts, and others, which can be followed, along with the exhibition’s developments, through the various social media channels of the Rail Company. A section dedicated to children will also be held daily in cooperation with the Panda House of the Ministry of Municipality, in addition to children’s shows in cooperation with KidzMondo Doha.
Rail launched the Metro Events Series in 2023, including the “Sports is Here!” and “Journey to Health” events, before continuing to launch a number of successful events and activities within the Metro network during the past period.
