The General Assembly of the Qatar Sailing and Rowing Federation re-elected Mr. Rashid Majid Al Sulaiti as President of the Federation by acclamation for a second term until 2028. This came during the regular General Assembly meeting held at the Federation’s headquarters, after a quorum was reached and in the presence of the majority of members and a representative of the Qatar Olympic Committee.
The General Assembly also re-elected Mr. Ali Nasser Talfat as Secretary General of the Federation by acclamation for the new session 2025-2028, while the electoral process resulted in the selection of the trio Mr. Hassan Qasim Awad, Mr. Abdullah Hassan Al-Abdullah, and Mr. Amr Muhammad Abdel-Sattar, for membership in the Board of Directors after obtaining On the loudest votes.
The members of the General Assembly approved the minutes of the previous meeting, and Mr. Ali Nasser Talfat, Secretary-General of the Federation, discussed, during the regular General Assembly meeting, the participation of the sailing and rowing teams in the past season.
In turn, Mr. Rashid Majid Al Sulaiti, President of the Federation, thanked and appreciated the members of the General Assembly for renewing confidence in it for a new term, as well as to the Qatar Olympic Committee for its support and backing of the Federation, and urged the members of the Board of Directors and employees of the Federation to continue to make their efforts to achieve and implement the Federation’s vision and achieve its goals.
