Research enhancing cooperation between the Qatar Chamber and the Russian International Women’s Union

The Qatar Chamber hosted a delegation from the Russian International Women’s Union, headed by Mrs. Alvia Amirova, President of the Federation.

The Qatar Chamber stated in a statement today, that the meeting discussed the enhancement of cooperation between the two sides in the sectors of tourism and medical tourism, support for business leaders and the establishment of an electronic platform for communication and training, in addition to a review of successful models in trade and investment projects in Qatar and Russia, and the possibility of establishing a joint center for trade and business.

In this context, Mrs. Ibtihaj Al -Ahmadi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Chamber and the Chairman of the Qatar Businesswomen Forum, said: The Qatar Chamber welcomes the delegation of the Russian International Women’s Union, and to enhance cooperation between Qatari businesswomen and Russian, noting that there are many opportunities for cooperation between the two sides in various sectors.

She added that the Chamber is looking forward to fruitful partnerships with the Russian International Women’s Union that contributes to supporting businesswomen and developing their capabilities at the local and international levels, stressing that the Qatari businesswomen forum is keen to support and enhance communication and cooperation between Qatari business owners and Russian women.

Al -Ahmadani pointed out that the economic empowerment of women is one of the basic engines to achieve sustainable development, expressing pride in the qualitative achievements made by the Qatari women in various sectors, thanks to the great support from the rational leadership.

It also pointed out that the meeting of the Qatari and Russian business owners in Qatar to discuss the prospects for cooperation and partnership and explore the available investment opportunities on each side.

In turn, Mrs. Alfaya Amirova noted the interest of her country in exporting halal Russian products from food and agricultural products to Qatar, stressing the Federation’s interest in strengthening cooperation relations with Qatari businesswomen in all fields, especially in the tourism, food security and trade sectors.

It also indicated that the inauguration of a Qatari center in Moscow to introduce Qatari products in Russia, and called on Qatari business owners to participate in the “Women’s hands” exhibition, which will be held on November 18 and 19 in the capital, Moscow, and displays the products produced by women and women.

It also reviewed the proposal to create an electronic platform for the exchange of information and expertise between business owners from the two countries, and to present the available investment opportunities in both countries.

It is noteworthy that the Russian International Women’s Union, based in the Russian capital, Moscow, aims to support businesswomen and owners of small and medium -sized projects, enhance communication, exchange experiences, discuss various commercial ideas and projects, expand the scope of trade relations, and promote goods and services produced by members of the organization in the markets, including regional and international.
