US Senator Bernie Sanders called on Saturday, Minister of Health and Humanitarian Services Robert F. Kennedy, the son, to submit his resignation, days after the dismissal of a senior public health official and the resignation of four others due to the differences of Kennedy’s objection to the vaccines.

Sanders, an independent Senator of Vermont State, wrote in an article in the New York Times, Kennedy “endangered the health of the American people at the present time and in the future.”

Last week, Kennedy dismissed the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Susan Monares, less than a month after she took office, which led to an increase in chaos in the main agency of public health in the country.

Monares refused to impose new restrictions called by Kennedy related to the availability of some vaccines, saying that it contradicts scientific evidence.

Four other senior officials in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention resigned in protest against the policies of combating vaccine and misleading information promoted by Kennedy and his team.

“Despite the overwhelming opposition from the medical community, Minister Kennedy continues his fierce campaign on vaccines, and his defense of conspiracy theories that scientific experts have repeatedly rejected,” Sanders wrote in the article.

Sanders added that anti-disease vaccines such as polio and Kovid-19 saved hundreds of millions of lives in the world.
