The German Health Insurance Fund has warned that severe menstrual pain may herald the development of what is called “endometriosis,” which is a medical condition in which the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. The lining grows on both sides of the uterine cavity and extends to the fallopian tubes, then the ovaries, or to the uterus. cervix.

The Fund explained that the causes of this disease, also known as “endometriosis,” are not precisely known, but doctors believe that the causes lie in an emergency malfunction of the immune system, an imbalance in the secretion of some hormones, and menstrual blood coming out against its normal course.

Symptoms of this disease are very severe menstrual cramps, pain extending to the back, and pain during intercourse, urination, or defecation, in addition to digestive system problems and fatigue.

The Fund stressed the necessity of consulting a gynecologist immediately upon noticing these symptoms in order to undergo timely treatment, since lack of treatment causes infertility.
