Signing open atmosphere agreements with Kiribati and Commonwealth Dominica … Enhancing cooperation in civil aviation with Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman

The State of Qatar reviewed with the State of Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman to enhance cooperation in the field of civil aviation. This came during two meetings held by Mr. Mohammed bin Faleh Al -Hajri in charge of conducting the work of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, with Sheikh Hammoud Mubarak Hammoud Al -Jaber Al -Sabah, head of the General Administration of Civil Aviation in the State of Kuwait, and Eng. Khamis bin Mohammed Al Shammakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Transport in the Sultanate of Oman, separately.
Al -Hajri reviewed, with Kuwaiti and Omani officials, in the office of the permanent delegation of the State of Qatar to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a number of issues of common concern in the civil aviation sector, and ways to enhance cooperation in a way that serves common interests, and supports the outputs of the General Assembly of the ACAO.
Mr. Mohammed bin Faleh Al -Hajri, Mr. Christopher J Roshilo, Deputy Director General of the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), also met on the sidelines of the work of the General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Montreal. During the meeting, ways of enhancing cooperation in the field of civil aviation were discussed and supported joint initiatives within the organization.
The State of Qatar will participate in the meetings of the 42nd General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which is currently held at the organization’s headquarters in the Canadian city of Montreal until October 3, with the participation of the delegations of 193 countries, as well as a number of regional and international organizations concerned with the aviation sector.
The State of Qatar is looking to re -election to the membership of the International Civil Aviation Organization Council (ICAO) for the third category for a new three -year session.
The State of Qatar has achieved many achievements during the past three years in the ICAO Council, where it chaired a number of the main committees and contributed effectively to the formulation of decisions and initiatives that aimed to enhance the safety, security and sustainability of the global civil aviation sector. The State of Qatar has also contributed to supporting the organization’s initiatives, including enhancing international cooperation, supporting developing countries through training and capacity -building programs, as well as hosting conferences and events that formed prominent stations in the organization’s march.
The State of Qatar participates in the activities of the general assembly through a special pavilion that reflects the march of the State of Qatar in the field of civil aviation and reviews its most prominent achievements and initiatives in supporting the aviation sector at the regional and international levels. The pavilion aims to enhance communication with the participating delegations and highlight the pioneering role of the State of Qatar in developing the aviation industry in line with the strategic goals of the ICAO.

Air service agreements that enhance the operations of the national carrier

On the sidelines of the work of the General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the State of Qatar, represented by the General Authority of Civil Aviation, signed air service agreements with Kiribati and Commonwealth Dominica.
The signing ceremony for an open air services agreement took place between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Kiribati, on the sidelines of their participation in the general assembly meetings of ICAO.
On the side of Qatar, Mr. Mohammed bin Faleh Al -Hajri, in charge of conducting the work of the commission, was signed by the Republic of Kiribati, His Excellency Mr. Alexander Tibo, Minister of Information, Communications and Transport.
This agreement allows the conduct of an unspecified number of passengers, shipping and full transportation trips.
Qatar also signed an open -air air services agreement with Community Dominica, where the agreement was signed by the Qatari side, Mr. Mohammed bin Faleh Al -Hajri, in charge of conducting the work of the commission, and on the side of Dominica, His Excellency Mrs. Dennis Charles Pimberton, Minister of Tourism and International Transport and Maritime Affairs in Dominica. According to the agreement, it is allowed to conveyed by both countries to run an unspecified number of passengers, shipping and full transport rights, in order to enhance cooperation links between the two countries. The signing of this agreement comes within the framework of the efforts of the State of Qatar to enhance its linking with other countries, by signing new air service agreements, allowing the national carrier to expand its network and access to more global destinations.
