Strengthening trade cooperation with the European Union

His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Towar Al Kuwari, First Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber, received yesterday His Excellency Dr. Thomas Jorgensen, Minister Plenipotentiary and Head of the Trade and Economic Affairs Section of the European Union to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance trade and economic cooperation between the State of Qatar and European Union countries, and the important role of the private sector in stimulating trade and investment exchange.
Bin Towar praised the distinguished relations between the State of Qatar and the European Union countries, noting that Qatar has huge investments in a number of European Union countries, and that the Qatari private sector has diverse investments in many EU countries.
For his part, Dr. Thomas Jorgensen praised the close relations between the European Union countries and the State of Qatar, pointing out that European companies are looking to the Qatari market with great interest and have a desire to strengthen their presence in the Qatari market.
Jorgensen praised the attractive investment climate in Qatar, and said that there are real opportunities to enhance cooperation between European and Qatari companies.
