In a competitive atmosphere full of enthusiasm, the competitions of the seventh edition of the Championship of Banks and Financial Football Championship 2025, which will be held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Bandar bin Muhammad bin Saud Al Thani, Governor of Qatar Central Bank, and His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Khalid bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Thani, Deputy Governor, with the participation of 28 teams representing the most prominent financial and banking institutions in the country.
The tournament is organized this year in cooperation between the Qatar Central Bank, the Aspire Zone Academy, the Qatar Football Association, and the sports cup channels, and its matches are held on the stadiums of Aspire Academy, where the first round witnessed the holding of ten games in one go, with it a great excitement, and opened the door for an early hot competition for the top of the groups.
The championship draw resulted in the division of the teams into eight groups, as the first group included Al -Rayyan Bank teams, Al -Mashreq Bank, Al -Jazeera Finance Company and QLM.
Al Rayyan Bank succeeded in scoring its first victory in the championship after it defeated Al-Jazeera Finance Company 3-0, while QLM made an amazing offensive offer and beat Al-Mashreq Bank with a score of 7-0, to take the lead of the group by goal difference.
As for the second group, which includes Qatar Insurance Company, Qatar Development Bank, Doha Exchange, and the Islamic Insurance Company, it witnessed an important victory for Qatar Insurance Company for Exchange, while the confrontation between Qatar Development Bank and the Islamic Insurance Company came out with a 1-1 tie result, to win each team one point.
In the third group, which includes the city for exchange, the Bima Insurance Company, the National Exchange, and the HSBC Bank, the city exchange team succeeded in achieving a difficult national exchange victory 2-1, while the Paima Insurance Company beat HSBC 3-0, to put the first three points in its balance.
As for the fourth group, which includes the Bank of Dukhan, the exchange of exchange works, the Gulf Exchange, and the National Bank, it witnessed a clear superiority of the Dukhan Bank, which achieved a big victory over the Gulf for exchange 5-0, while the National Bank surpassed the house for exchange work with a score of 4-1, in a match that witnessed a clear control from the National Bank.
In the fifth group, which includes Qatar Central Bank, Ferddan Exchange, and Lulu Exchange, Qatar Central Bank opened its career with a 5-0 victory over Lulu, in a high-ranking offensive performance.
As the sixth group, which includes Doha Bank, Tarz, and Al-Jazeera for Exchange, witnessed a clear superiority of the Doha Bank, which defeated Al-Jazeera for 4-0 exchange.
The second round
The excitement continues next Saturday evening with the establishment of the second round, which is witnessing ten strong confrontations, as Qatar International Bank meets the General Insurance of Qatar within the seventh group, and Qatar National Bank faces the Eastern Exchange team within the eighth group. The second group is also witnessing an upcoming confrontation between Doha Exchange and Qatar Development Bank, and the Qatar Insurance Company is playing a strong confrontation against the Islamic Insurance Company, in the same group, while the National Exchange plays with Bima Insurance Company, and HSBC faces its city exchange team, within the framework of the third group
The Al -Jazeera Finance Company team meets with the Bank of Al -Mashreq, and Al Rayyan Bank faces QLM in a confrontation that is expected to be exciting for the first group, while the Gulf team plays for exchange with the house for exchange work, and the National Bank will meet Dukhan in a fiery confrontation within the fourth group.
