Sununu, the leading Qatari technology company, announced that it is the innovation sponsor of the “Rowad SMEs” initiative, an initiative dedicated to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable development in Qatar and the Arab region.
Doha will host the “Ruwad” Entrepreneurship Conference and the Arab Summit for Small and Medium Enterprises 2024, from November 18 to 20 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).
This partnership is in line with the shared goals of both parties to empower entrepreneurs, promote advanced technologies, and drive the growth of SMEs in the region.
This cooperation will see Sununu participate in the upcoming events and initiatives of the Small and Medium Enterprises Pioneers Initiative, which aims to provide entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs with the tools, resources, and networks necessary to achieve success.

The partnership with “Ruwad” includes organizing joint events, workshops, and networking opportunities, providing a dedicated platform for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized companies to access valuable insights into the latest trends and technologies that are reshaping industries. In addition, Sununu will offer special services and discounts to SMEs participating in the conference, helping them improve their logistics and delivery systems to achieve greater efficiency.
This partnership also represents an important step towards achieving the goals of both parties in driving sustainable growth and innovation in the Arab region. As Sununu and the SME entrepreneurs continue to advance their missions, this partnership promises to have a long-term impact on the region’s entrepreneurship landscape, with a focus on creating long-term value for SMEs, consumers and the economy in general.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Hamad Mubarak Al-Hajri, founder and CEO of Sununu, said: “We are very excited about our partnership with Small and Medium Enterprises Leaders, an organization that shares our vision of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the Arab world. This partnership provides a unique opportunity for us to connect with entrepreneurs, investors and thinkers in this space, and showcase how our technologies can contribute to the success of SMEs. “By leveraging our technology solutions, we aim to support businesses in the region to improve their delivery operations, reduce costs, and improve customer experience.”
The Arab Entrepreneurship Summit represents an important interactive space for male and female entrepreneurs in the Arab region. In its previous two editions, it hosted more than 2,000 participants, from Arab countries, regional and international organizations, and bodies specialized in entrepreneurship and sustainable development, in addition to male and female entrepreneurs, investors, and media entities. The summit allows its participants to learn about the most important business models in Arab markets, learn about inspiring success stories, and explore the horizon of joint work, with a focus on providing investment opportunities and enhancing means of communication between policy makers and experts, Arab and regional.
It is worth noting that the mission of SME entrepreneurs is to create a vital platform for innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable development, which in turn is in line with Sununu’s goals of transforming the delivery sector using advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analysis.
Sununu is considered a local success story that aims to be the first unicorn company in Qatar. It was founded in 2019 by Hamad Mubarak Al-Hajri, an entrepreneur and start-up expert with more than 20 years of experience in business innovation. The company aims to revolutionize the Qatari market by offering the fastest delivery services, the most diverse markets, and facilitating online shopping, including food and grocery, and third-party logistics services for startups and SMEs in Qatar.
In November 2020, Sununu launched the 24/7 Snowmart online store, offering a wide range of local products and supporting merchants in Qatar. Due to the company’s exceptional performance, it was chosen as the best project for entrepreneurs in “Najah Qatari” by public vote, and Forbes Middle East magazine also awarded it the Most Funded Startup Award for being a startup with innovative business ideas supported by experienced investors. Sununu seeks to expand and diversify its offerings by adding new features and services to its platform, with the aim of entering international markets, including the Middle East.
