The Asian Football Confederation announces the launch of a new certificate in strategy and planning

The Asian Football Confederation today announced the launch of the Association’s Certificate Program in Strategy and Planning (ACSP).
The programme, which is the latest in the AFC Excellence Academy and lasts for three months, aims to provide participants from national and regional member associations and game sides with the strategic planning skills and tools necessary to meet the growing standards, expectations and needs of their national associations and the ever-evolving football ecosystem.
The program’s activities are organized entirely via video communication technology, and it features comprehensive modules presented by professional lecturers with long experience in this field. This program joins other programs such as the AFC Football Leaders Certificate, the Football Management Certificate, the Child Protection Program Certificate, and others. The programs are part of the AFC’s ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities of football leaders on the continent.
The AFC Certificate Program in Strategy and Planning consists of some of the main topics that will be covered, which are: understanding strategic planning theory, designing and managing strategic plans, identifying success factors, using strategic planning tools, allocating resources and budgeting.
Datuk Seri Windsor John, Secretary General of the AFC, said: The AFC Certificate Program in Strategy and Planning builds on the success of our previous programmes, and similar to other solutions provided by the AFC Excellence Academy, this program works to enable Asian football officials to Through meaningful and transformative education.
He explained: The program aims to provide participants with the necessary knowledge that will prove extremely useful not only in presenting and managing strategic plans that are in line with the goals and vision of their respective federations and institutions, but also in advancing Asian football.
