The Central Bank issues treasury bills and Islamic bonds worth 4.5 billion riyals

Qatar Central Bank (QCB) issued treasury bills and Islamic bonds for maturities of 7 days, 35 days, 91 days, 182 days, 273 days and 336 days, worth QAR 4.5 billion. QCB said in a statement yesterday that the treasury bills are distributed as follows: QAR 300 million for 7 days “in addition to an existing issue” at an interest rate of 5.7815 percent, QAR 1 billion for 35 days “in addition to an existing issue” at an interest rate of 5.7363 percent, QAR 1 billion for 91 days “in addition to an existing issue” at an interest rate of 5.5390 percent, QAR 1 billion for 182 days “in addition to an existing issue” at an interest rate of 5.1730 percent, QAR 1 billion for 273 days “in addition to an existing issue” at an interest rate of 4.8888 percent, and QAR 200 million for 336 days “in addition to an existing issue” at an interest rate of 4.7478 percent.
The total private bids for treasury bills and Islamic bonds amounted to 13.1 billion riyals.
