The participation of the women’s national team comes as part of a remarkable Qatari presence in the beach volleyball competitions, which witness the participation of four Qatari teams, two teams for men and two teams for women. The draw for the competition placed the Qatari women’s volleyball team, “Team 1”, consisting of Haya Abu Issa and Laila Mohammed, alongside Japan and Kazakhstan in Group Six, while “Team 2”, consisting of Malak Mohammed and Shagf Amin, will play in Group “Eight” of the preliminary round against Hong Kong, Thailand and Sri Lanka.

Our women’s volleyball team faces the Philippines
Our women’s national volleyball team will meet with the Philippines today in a ranking match for ninth to fourteenth place, in the 20th Asian Games “Aichi-Nagoya” 2026, currently being held in Japan.
Our team lost in the group stage to Vietnam by three games to nothing in the first round, and to South Korea in the second round with the same score, then it also lost to Hong Kong in the third round.
